Concept “Sketching” originated from the word sketch – a visual note consisting of handwritten text, drawings, diagrams and visual elements such as arrows, frames, lines, etc. In simple terms, sketching is a visual way of recording information with a minimum amount of written text.

The main book that at the moment can tell as much as possible about sketching is Mike Rhodey’s book “Visual Notes”. In it, the author tells in the most accessible and clear way about the basic principles of sketching, what tools you need, where and why it is more profitable not to write the text, but to outline the information in the form of illustrations.

Eva-Lotta Lamm, an illustrative designer from the UK, who actively attends various IT conferences and will certainly take notes of all speeches in her own unique style, was one of the invited experts in creating the sketchout in Mike Rhodey’s book:
